On Saturday, Sept. 15, UNBSJ’s football team took on Holland College after over a two hour delay due to a spectacular show of lightening and sporadic downpours of rain.

After a break in the weather the Seawolves took the field, which was better suited as a pool, in the bitter cold to finally start the game against the Hurricanes.

During warm up, the rain held off but there were continued bolts of lightening. Despite the flashes, the teams were left of the field to play the game.

The wet weather caused the field and the ball to be slick, affecting the Seavolves’ play. The Hurricanes defeated the home team with a final score of 16-7, the rain and the loss led to the team’s dampened spirits.
