Years Playing: Four years with the Seawolves

Awards: 2009 Female Athlete of the Year and MVP at Rothesay High School, and the Dr. Anne Compton Academic Athletic Achievement award two years in a row.

Reason for playing: She enjoys working as a team. “Forming relationships with the girls on my team is certainly the highlight,” says Smith, “besides winning of course.”

 Smith is a force on and off of the court. She plays hard and works hard in school as well as in extracurricular activities. She is a mentor with the Promise Partnership, a camp leader for the Atlantic Youth Missions and Awana Ministry, and she volunteers with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Home Town: Grand Bay-Westfield, N.B.

Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration

Years Playing: First year with the Seawolves

Awards: MVP of his high school team, the Governor Thomas Carleton Scholarship, Bricklayers Union Bursary, and Insurance Brokers Association Bursary Business Scholarship.

Reason for Playing: To help the Seawolves advance in the ACAA ranks.

Montford has also done scorekeeping and officiating for the River Valley Basketball Association and for Harbour View High School. He also took part in musicals when he was in high school.

Emily is in her fourth year of Political Science. She loves studying and academics which follows into her research work. She's a stern black coffee drinker and is a proud Acadienne. When she's not working or doing school work, you can find Emily listening to 70s music on vinyl and watching Parks and Recreation. If you ask her about parliamentary institutions, she won't stop talking.
