Boosting confidence in the buff

With the holiday season comes the inevitable “winter weight.”

All of the Christmas treats were great at the time, but they leave many of us feeling less confident and unattractive. Here are a few tips to optimising your best features, boosting your confidence and looking good naked.

Everyone has things they don’t like about themselves, whether it be a flabby butt, lopsided boobs or a-less-than-toned belly, no one considers themselves perfect. The best advice I can offer here is fake it until you make it. There’s nothing sexier than confidence.

The little things count! Be sure to clean your nails, brush your teeth, maintain your body hair (however you like it), brush your hair and try to smell good. I’m not saying that everyone has to douse themselves in perfume or stinky lotions, especially since so many people are sensitive to heavy smells, but a shower and a little deodorant go a long way.

Moisturizing and exfoliating with neutral smelling products can make your skin silky to the touch, adding to the allure. All of these little things come together to make a complete package that will (hopefully) leave you feeling sexy, put together and confident.

Pay attention to posture! Standing up straight will make your body look longer, thinner and more toned. Also, know your best assets and play them up. Put your hands on your hips to draw attention to your hour glass figure, point your toes to make your legs look longer or push your shoulders back to make your breasts look perkier.

Try to pick a position that caters to your body’s strengths: Missionary is great to hide extra tummy flab and girl-on-top will give small breasts a visual boost. Whatever your hang-ups may be, there is always a way to flatter any body type.

Dim the lights! Try using candles or a dimmer switch if you’re not totally confident in the buff. The dim lighting will help mask any imperfections you’re worried about and create a romantic atmosphere. Also try experimenting with music during sex. Music is great for altering mood. It also creates a rhythm for all the action and the beat will make your movements feel smoother and sexier.

There is nothing more alluring than sultry eye-contact. This will make your partner want you even more, which will boost your confidence. Pair eye-contact with a smile and it will make it very clear that you’re enthusiastic and happy to be there. Regardless of body type, enthusiasm is one of the sexiest things you can bring to the bedroom.

Give yourself a little confidence boost in the sack. Have you been told you give great head or your partner loves the way you look in lingerie or high heels? Use these things to your advantage.

If you feel sexy and confident, you will look sexy and confident. Remember: sex has everything to do with how you perceive yourself. It’s much more fun if you can let go of body hang ups that are holding you back and making you feel badly about yourself.

Chances are, if someone gets you in bed in the first place, s/he is excited about finding out what’s underneath your clothes!
