MSVU vanquishes UNB Saint John

The UNB Saint John Seawolves played host to the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in ACAA women’s volleyball action on Jan. 11. The Seawolves looked to kick off the New Year with a big win. However, the Mystics would prove to be too much, winning the match in three straight sets.

The first set would be a close match between both teams, but in the end, the Mystics took the first set, 25-18.

With the momentum rolling, the Mystics continued their strong play in the second set. UNB Saint John could not counter and conceded the second set by a score of 25-11.

Looking to spark a comeback, the Seawolves came alive during the third set. Both teams battled hard, but ultimately, UNB Saint John fell just short. The Mystics took the set and the match, 25-20.
