Charging through the Seawolves

The number one ranked Crandall University Chargers were in town to face off against the UNB Saint John Seawolves, in ACAA men’s basketball action. The Chargers put on a clinic, showing why they’re in first place in the ACAA standings, easily defeating the Seawolves 115-49.

The Chargers got their high powered offence rolling in the first quarter. The Seawolves put in a solid quarter, but fell behind 23-12. Things continued to go in favour of the Chargers, as Crandall shifted into high gear, putting up 30 points in the second quarter. UNB Saint John could do nothing to stop the onslaught and headed into halftime down 53-24.

Crandall showed no signs of slowing to start the third quarter, putting up another big 33 points in the third quarter. The Chargers kept the ball rolling in the fourth quarter, as the Seawolves could do nothing but wait for the game to end.

The final score saw the Chargers win big, 115-49.

Osman Barrie and Achuli Lual led the chargers with 15 points apiece. Not far behind were Jason Ramsay and Alex MacLeod with 14 points. Countering for the Seawolves was Pat Craig, who had 11 points, while Thomas Waggot and Jared Crawford also chipped in with 10 points each.
