Presented by Shivering Songs, East Coast Music Award winning band Hey Rosetta! and JUNO nominated band Yukon Blonde will be performing as part of their ongoing national tour.

The tour comes on the heels of the bands’ recently released albums, “Second Sight” for Hey Rosetta! and “On Blonde” by Yukon Blonde.

Originally from Newfoundland, Hey Rosetta! is a seven-piece indie-rock band known for their energized live performances. Yukon Blonde originated in British Columbia and perform indie rock with heavy use of synthesizers, creating an electric 80s vibe in their sound.

“Second Sight” marks the first studio album of Hey Rosetta! in almost four years after their 2011 album, “Seeds”, was long-listed for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. They were also nominated for a JUNO for New Group of the Year in 2012.

This year, Hey Rosetta! won song of the year at the East Coast Music Awards for the lead single from “Second Sight”, “Kintsukuroi”.

Yukon Blonde’s “On Blonde” is the band’s first album since 2012. Their previous release, “Tiger Talk” got them nominated for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the 2013 JUNO Awards.

This will be Yukon Blonde’s first time in the foggy city, and the fourth show for Hey Rosetta! in Saint John.

You may get lucky and find some tickets at the door tonight, but as of publication this one is sold out everywhere. The concert is at Kent theatre at 24 Coburg Street, with doors opening at 7 and the show at 8.
