The discussion was had behind closed doors and resulted in a failure of the motion by secret ballot.  There was lengthy discussion with the meeting running well over an hour and tensions ran high as raised voices could be heard from outside of the Hume council meeting space.

The SRC has not released any statement with regard to the discussion or what will be done about the  un-budgeted spending on orientation.
