Members of the Student Representative Council, working the Thomas J. Condon Student Centre above the cafeteria, strive to help out fellow students as much as they can. One of the ways they do so is through the Resource Room, which many of you may not be aware of.
The Resource Room is also located in the Student Centre, on the second floor next to the Whitebone Lounge. It is open throughout the week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and is always unmonitored.
It is full of useful student resources, such as educational materials and pamphlets, textbooks (yes, actual textbooks that you may need for your courses), toiletries, and non-perishable food items. These materials are free and available to any student who may need them.
You can go in at any time and take what you need, no questions asked.
If you are looking for ways to help the SRC and your peers this holiday season, the Room is currently accepting donations of certain toiletries and non-perishable food items. You can drop them off in the Room st any time or you can contact an executive member of the SRC if you have questions.
Make sure that you take advantage of this wonderful resource if you are in need!
