The University of New Brunswick’s Saint John campus is closed today due to inclement weather. Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for New Brunswick that will be in effect until late this evening, with a total of 10 to 15 mm being expected.

Environment Canada has cautioned civilians of the dangers of icy highways, roadways and walkways in such weather. Almost 30% of motor vehicle accidents in Canada occur when there are icy road conditions.

It is urged that you stay off the roads as much as possible today. Although the Saint John campus is closed, there is no better opportunity to get ahead on your schoolwork.

With the dreaded midterm season coming up, and for some, already here, we encourage you to take today to check in with yourself. Make sure that you are not feeling too overwhelmed, catch up on your sleep, and take advantage of the horrible weather.

Stay safe, readers!
