Reflections

How
do you see you?
How
do you see me?
Your
reflection is still the same person,
but
do you see it as such?

The
reflection of your judgement,
thoughts,
feelings, actions,
how
do you perceive these things?
Does
it make you a different person?

What
do you like, what do you hate?
You
are the same person in every version.
Every
reflection is just a duplicate,
a
duplicate of you;
the
only version that matters.

Every
reflection seems so different,
like
a whole other person,
but
each one is you.
You
shape them into what you think they are.
But that person is still you;

your
strength,
your
passion,
your
personality,
your
habits,

it
is all just duplicated.
Duplicated
to create a clone,
a
clone of an amazing person
that
person,
Is
only your reflection.

Emily is in her fourth year of Political Science. She loves studying and academics which follows into her research work. She's a stern black coffee drinker and is a proud Acadienne. When she's not working or doing school work, you can find Emily listening to 70s music on vinyl and watching Parks and Recreation. If you ask her about parliamentary institutions, she won't stop talking.
