Update: Emergency call services have been restored. 911 is now accessible through UNB’s landlines phones.

In an email to students, the University of New Brunswick’s Information Technology services announced that anyone on a UNB campus is unable to call 9-1-1 using campus desk phones or Microsoft Teams.

“If you are on campus and in an emergency: please call 911 from a mobile device or campus payphone, then call UNB Security,” the email reads.

UNB Security is still reachable through the desk phones, who can call 9-1-1 for students who may need it.

“ITS is working with 911 services to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will provide updates as they become available.” IT Services said in the email.
