UNB-SRC and CFEE organize financial program

For the next three weeks of February, The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE), partnered with the SRC, will offer a virtual program called that is called “Help! Managing your Money on Campus”.  

The program will help students to make better decisions regarding money matters. 

The webinar will consist of three modules on three different dates. The modules will be on Zoom and it is necessary to register to attend them.   

February 9

The first module is called “Living a Healthy Financial Life”, and will consist of tips such as budgeting and setting financial goals. The module will be at 6 p.m.

February 16 

The second webinar, “Understanding Personal Income Taxes”, will talk about the Canadian tax system, credits for students, and tax reduction strategies. This module will start at 6 p.m.

February 23 

The last module of the program is called “Borrowing for Books”. It will start at 6 p.m. and it will explain how to manage credit and debt, the overall cost of education, and resources available for students such as scholarships and loans.
