ACORN New Brunswick holding tenants’ rights protest

Organization’s asks

This protest is in support of tenant rights and is making three specific asks to the Government of New Brunswick:

  • Two percent rent increase cap,
  • a moratorium on evictions,
  • and a full revision of the New Brunswick Residential Tenancies Act.

Everyone is welcome to participate. Organizers are asking that everyone wear a mask, dress warmly, bring posters, and ensure that they adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols. 

They will be meeting at King’s Square then walking across the street to Service New Brunswick, which is the location of the Residential Tenancies Tribunal.
