On Thursday, March 11, ACORN New Brunswick is holding a protest at King’s Square at 11 a.m.
This protest is in support of tenant rights and is making three specific asks to the Government of New Brunswick:
- Two percent rent increase cap,
- a moratorium on evictions,
- and a full revision of the New Brunswick Residential Tenancies Act.

Everyone is welcome to participate. Organizers are asking that everyone wear a mask, dress warmly, bring posters, and ensure that they adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
They will be meeting at King’s Square then walking across the street to Service New Brunswick, which is the location of the Residential Tenancies Tribunal.
