In a statement published April 28, the SJPD stated that the motorist was pulled over by someone impersonating an officer. The vehicle appeared to be an unmarked police vehicle, the driver was uninjured, and it remains under investigation.

“Saint John Police Force reminds any resident they are always within their rights to pose any questions when engaging with a member. If something seems suspicious, please contact the SJPF at 648-3333 or 9-1-1.” they said in the statement.
