During the month of October, UNB Sustainability is hosting an “Academic Bike Challenge”.

Academic Bike Challenging running during the month of October.

Event part of Sustainability Month

As part of their Sustainability Month, students can record their kilometres travelled on a bike to win prizes.

The aim is to encourage students and staff to ride a bicycle more often. The event is hosted by the German Münster of Applied Science and a partnership with the app “Naviki”.

This competition will last from October 1 to October 31. The prizes include $75 gift cards to a local bike shop for three participants with the highest recorded number of kilometres biked.

Who can participate

All students and staff from either campus are welcome to participate in the event. They are also encouraged to create or join teams if they want to participate in a group.

How to participate

(Naviki/Apple App Store)

To join, participants will need to download the Naviki app on their phones and register.

They must go to the app, then select more -> contests -> ABC 2021 -> I’m participating. After that, participants must record their kilometres biked during the month. Participants can include their kilometres biked anywhere in October, not just on campus.

More information on the event can be found here.
