The event will present a reading by Brendan McLeod and a performance by the Saint John String Quartet.
Event
The Lorenzo Society Club will host a reading on September 15th on campus at 12 p.m. The event will present writer and musician Brendan McLeod, and the Saint John String Quartet. People can join for free at the Whitebone Pizzeria in the Thomas J. Condon Students Centre building.
To attend the event masks are required, and to join online, people can register by emailing lorenzo@unb.ca
Brendan McLeod
Brendan McLeod will present his debut “Friends Without Bodies”, a publication about the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically the social inequalities that the pandemic highlighted. McLeod has worked on a novel; a poetry collection and five theatre shows. He is also the founder of the folk group “The Fugitives”
Saint John String Quartet
The quartet group will join McLeod on the stage during the reading. The Saint John String Quartet has collaborated with many performers over the past few years and performed classical pieces on its own.
