About the Initiative
The Saint John Community Coalition is a community-focused organization working to strengthen the local area by offering resources, opportunities for collaboration, and events like the free store event. As a collective, the Saint John Community Coalition works to build engagement with community members, government bodies, and other local groups to create neighbourhoods that are more just, inclusive, and sustainable.
The Community Free Store was first launched by the Saint John Community Coalition to create a space where neighbours could support one another while promoting connection across the city. The initiative is steadily becoming a valuable and treasured tradition in the area, offering essential resources and celebrating local culture and creativity.
