READING TIME: < 1 MINUTES
I want to change you,
But you can’t change me.
I yell,
You yell,
Yet we circle in confusion,
Talking past each other,
No progress, no solution.
WHY CAN’T YOU HEAR ME?
You were busy, I was too,
But we had a plan—
A deadline to pursue.
We should be partners,
We share the same goal,
But we fumble with words,
Losing control.
Time slipped, and frustration grew,
Each message unclear,
Deadlines blew past,
But still, no one would hear.
We had a crisis—
Yes, I understand,
But why couldn’t we speak
With one voice, one hand?
I know we can fix this,
I know we’re a team,
But we can’t move forward
If we just vent and scream.
Listen! Listen to me!
I’ll listen to you too.
Together, we can work,
We can see this through.
Let’s focus,
Let’s hear every word,
Let’s speak with intention,
And finally be heard.
We’re partners,
We’ve come this far—
Let’s fix what’s been broken,
And reach for the stars
