New Brunswick is downgrading the COVID-related restrictions to yellow phase as of March 8, with a few changes.

UNB campuses will remain open, adhering to the New Brunswick Public Health Guidelines.

In an email to students, UNB announced the following campus-related changes:

• Courses are offered through alternative delivery methods, in-person or a combination of the two.
• Meetings that have 10 or fewer people do not require masks as long as everyone is stationary and 6 feet apart.
• In groups larger than 10, instructors can remove their mask, provided they are 6 feet from the students, and marking will be made in classrooms.
• In classrooms where the one meter guideline has been implemented, masks must be kept on at all times.

In addition to the UNB-specific changes, the Government of New Brunswick has made some changes to yellow phase, including:

• A household bubble of 15, instead of the previous 10.
• Sports teams can play in other zones.
• Gatherings of 50 people or fewer are allowed, with physical distancing.
• Masks are no longer required outdoors, but are mandatory indoors.
