Due to the delay in the women’s soccer match, the men also had a late start on Sunday, Oct. 14, but that did not deter them from securing another win against St. Thomas University (STU).

The Seawolves had defeated the Tommies the day before in Fredericton and continued to rule the field at their home game.

The game could have taken a different turn, however, when UNBSJ’s goalie, Patrick Kaine, took a knee to the face from a STU player. Kaine valiantly shook it off and continued to play, a great move for the game as he proceeded to make some excellent saves throughout the match.

In the first half, UNBSJ player number eight, Jared Gerow, score the game’s winning goal. It was his first goal of the season as well as his first goal as a member of the Seawolves team.

In the second half of the game the Tommies played hard, attempting to rectify their loss from the previous afternoon and trying to catch up to UNBSJ. Towards the end of the match, STU began to scramble and kept the Seawolves on their toes, but it was no use.

UNBSJ won their second game of the weekend against STU, with a final score of 1-0 for the Seawolves.
