The women’s Seawolves basketball team took on the Rams for a second time in one weekend and played hard to bank another win.

Dalhousie Agricultural College (DALAC) scored the first points of the game off of a foul shot, but the Seawolves communicated well, opening up for smooth passes, resulting in many baskets for the home team.

The women played a great offensive game which led to shots scored by players like number 5, Leanne Davis and number 8, Christie Smith. The first quarter ended with a score of 20-12.

UNBSJ’s second line didn’t quite live up to the momentum of the first, but they still played excellently and passed the ball with ease. The support between the Seawolves on the court was phenomenal; a player was constantly open, paving the way for consistent plays. The final score before halftime was 50-18.

After halftime the Seawolves continued to dominate. Despite their huge lead, UNBSJ was not about to let up on the Rams. DALAC received five fouls within the first four minutes of the game, showing that they were making simple mistakes in attempts to catch up. The Seawolves pulled out some slick turnovers, and the Rams only scored two points in the period which brought the score to 71-20.

The final period was less exciting as it became clear that the Seawolves were on the verge of winning the game. However, they continued to play well and didn’t give the Rams much of a chance to catch up. The final score of the game was 92-32, a phenomenal win for UNBSJ.
